My yellow lab has lumps on his body, what could be wrong?

I used to have a dog that had a lump under her tail and on her chest. A family friend who is also a vet told me that it was most likely benign cysts.

the lumps could possibly be benign tumors. they should be checked out and biopsied by a vet to rull out any types of cancer. any good vet will do this for you.

Labs are known for getting skin tumors, which is probably what your dog has. A vet can give you a proper diagnosis and treatment options.

If you have you given your dog a topical flea treatment recently that could be the cause. Many dogs have allergic reactions to flea treatments and can cause hives. Wash the dog ASAP with mild soap and water, and double rinse. If that doesn't help I would take the dog to the vet right away.
