My Windows XP won't shut down. What 's wrong?

Your computer may have crashed. You can do what I do when that happens. Just press and hold the ON? OFF button until the computer turns off.

This usually happens due to missing Windows System files which are important to keep the windows kernel (DOS) running. If your windows was shutting down properly but now a days its giving problem then run sfc/scan now and insert your windows xp disc. Or Repair windows from your installation disc.

There is an error or a virus. Pull the plug if it is a desktop or pull the battery if it is a laptop. Restart the system in safe mode and install Ad-Aware from the Lavasoft website. Scan your system and remove the problem.
