The dog is old enough to be without his mother. Make sure he doesn't have worms. The vet should probably check him over. Some puppies and dogs are funny eaters but he may have a medical problem.

If your puppy refuses to eat, try putting some cottage cheese on top of her food. This usually works and it is easy to eventually wean her off by lessening the amount over time.

I would get your puppy into the veterinarian right away as a puppy that is not eating can become very sick very quickly, especially if there are other symptoms such as vomiting or diarrhea.

If you think the dog may be sick you should take him a vet, just to be sure he's okay. He may just have a stomach virus though or the food might not taste very good.

You may need to stay with him while he eats, he may get nervous being alone. Any other health symptoms? He could be sick and need a vet.

A puppy that tiny can dehydrate a lot faster than a larger puppy so watch him carefully. If this is the first time he has done it try Chicken Broth on top of his food. If he still won't eat make him an appointment for the Vet right away to insure he is ok.
