Have you checked to make sure that none of the switches or anything got switched on accident? If not, I would take it in to your local repair shop and see what they say about it. It may cost less to just get a new lawn mower, depending on where you go.

I wonder if your clutch is working properly. Often lawnmowers have a clutch break combination which can cause problems with linkage. Check all connections to the clutch and breaks. Sometimes the belts or blades may be a problem if grass or something else has clogged up the works. Riding mowers often run the blades when going forward and not backwards

The gear that is directly behind the front two wheels that switches in between reverse and forward might have become jammed, my suggestion is that you adjust this gear and it should fall back into place.

If your L120 mower stopped movign forward, you could may have a transmission problem. Check to ensure the shifter is in fact in the forward position. The problem could be a safety sensor.
