Assess where specifically the area where it aches, feel for bumps or lumps if it's free from any deformity try to take a pain reliever, rest and close your eyes for at least an hour. If it does not help then you should finally go to a physician.

It depends on what you did to it? Did you hit it on something? Sometimes when we sleep we can injure ourselves without knowing. You may have a cyst or a pimple, that could be causing your problem also. You may have sinus pressure or a sinus headache also. Take some Advil.

The symptom you describe is not specific to a particular disease, but you should consider elevation of pressure inside the skull due to infection, a mass or just a headache.

If a person's head is sore to the touch, what they should do depends on the amount of pain they're in. If a person is in minor pain, they should take a pain reliever. However, if the pain is frequent or if it is servere, they should see a doctor.

You should go see your GP and tell him all about your problem. It might be a sinus inflamation but we can`t know for sure because we need more information.

When your head is sore to the touch, you could have slept too hard or you could be coming down with a severe headache. Might be stress or tension also.

You can try applying ice and/or heat if you don't think it's all that serious, but as always with any health condition, the absolute best thing you can do is visit a doctor or a clinic of sorts. Never take any chances with your health.

You should have it checked out by a doctor, but it probably isn't anything serious. You could be having just scalp trouble. The doctor is your best answer. Only your doctor can tell you what is causing it.
