My golden lab died two days ago. The vet said it was inevitable. Should I blame myself?

She had liver and kidney failure that came on suddenly.

I know that it is difficult to lose a beloved pet. You should not blame yourself. If the dog's liver and kidneys were shutting down, then there was not much that could have been done to save him.

No you should not blame yourself. As long as you gave your dog all the love and care you could while they were alive you did your best. Just ask yourself this "Wast my dog happy?" If you had a loving playful dog who was happy to see you when you came home you did good.

i know i shouldn't blame myself, but she got ill so quickly and was fine and healthly, we always took good care of her, she was well looked after and very much loved, carnt seem to accept the onset that happened so quickly, i am in denial.
