Yes. Thrush is caused by the same organism that causes yeast infections. It can be prevented with careful hand washing and sterilizing anything touched by someone with thrush.

Yes, it is. Thrush is found most often in infants, and is often passed between a breastfeeding mother and baby requiring both to be treated.

Thrush is a yeast infection in the mouth. It mostly affects babies, older people and those who have a compromised immune system. Yeast (candidiasis) is everywhere in our environment. It is an opportunistic fungus that settles in where it can. You do not "catch" thrush; you develop it if circumstances provide an opportunity for it.

Thrush is definitely contagious. It is caused by an overgrowth of the candida albicans fungus and can be spread by kissing or oral sex. Though there are some homeopathic remedies, the quickest way to get rid of it is to see a physician. Prescription drugs are quite effective.

Thrush is contagious through direct contact. Individuals most at risk of developing thrush are those with weakened immune systems such as due to HIV/AIDS or cancer.
