The mean elevation in Florida is positive, 98 feet or 30 meters above the sea level. The highest point of Florida, the Buttom Hill, is obviously above the sea level. In fact, the lowest point in Florida is the Atlantic ocean having 0 elevation, i. e. , being exactly at the sea level.

The highest point of Florida, Britton Hill has an elevation of 345 feet or 105 meters. In fact, the mean elevation is 98 feet or 30 meters, i.e., there are many places in Florida with an elevation above sea level. Britton Hill is, however, the lowest state highpoint in the United States.
