Try using a white vinegar and water solution. Use 1 tablespoon of vinegar with 2 cups of water. Place in a sprayer and see if that remedies your problem.

One organic solution to your mildewed plant problem is hydrogen peroxide. Thoroughly spray undiluted 3 percent hydrogen peroxide on your plants once a week. Spray both the top and bottoms of the leaves. It is best to test spray one leaf to make sure not to damage your plant if it is sensitive to the hydrogen peroxide.

Actually the best thing you can do for mildewed plants (also called powdery mildew) is to take a light non scented soap (like dial) and make a paper towel soapy. Clean the leaves with the soap and let dry. You can also use a product. This is the most natural!

The solution is right in your refrigerator! Spray your plants with milk weekly. This will work as well as the chemicals designed for mildew.

There are three types of sprays available. The first is a 0.5 percent solution of baking soda in water. The second is neem oil, which is available at most garden centers. Lime-sulfur or powdered sulfur is also used, though you need to be careful about applying this to squash plants.
