Is the Reeperbahn district of Hamburg active today?

Yes it actually is still active today. I've been there recently and it's a beautiful place to visit. It has changed though from before. So it's not completely the same. But none the less all the parts that needed to be preserved about the place are actually preserved so it's great.

I don't think you will see it open officially like you could see the "red lights city" in Amsterdam. Still if you are in Hamburg, surely do pay a visit.
