Is the MiniMonkey baby sling safe?

It looks like the baby could fall right out.

I personally would not use one. Cotton degrades quickly when washed, and it is made of cotton. Not to mention that certain movements could shift the swing, thus reducing the stability of the child.

If you look up baby slings online you will notice that they are often recalled. Check to make sure it is not recalled first. I think wraps and carriers are more safe than baby slings. Infants often get "swallowed" by the swing and cannot breath. They are not easy to nurse a baby with either.

This product has good reviews and ratings. It is adjustable to accommodate different size babies and comes with an informational video. It is padded around edges for extra stability, as well as the strap, and has a removable safety catch that is great for breast feeding. As with any product of this sort, extra caution on parents' part is recommended.
