Yes. Lithosphere is the crust and upermost mantle of the earth. This is the hard layer of our planet. Lithosphere has thickness in range of 40 km to 200 km.

The Lithosphere is the name used when geologist refer to the the top two layers of the earth, which are the Crust and the Upper Mantle. The Crust and Upper Mantle have different chemical compositions, but are refered to as the lithosphere because this is the layer where the tectonic plates are located.
