Is sending an email in all caps considered to be unprofessional?

I have a habit of sending emails in all caps and would like to make sure it is not upsetting to some.

It is considered unprofessional, in that, all caps is seen as "SCREAMING" at someone. I just read an article about crazy things that have gotten people in trouble at work, and one woman was fired for sending emails and memo's typed in all caps. Take the little bit of extra time and type properly.

I can barely see the fonts and type in all caps so that I can see what I'm typing. I was just imformed by the receiver of one of my emails that all caps were unprofessional and they were offended. Now I will not use all caps.  add a comment

Writing an email in capital letter gives the wrong idea as if you were shouting at the recipient. Angry emails tend to be in capital letters. Capital letters could prove to be rude and unprofessional.

Send an email in all caps is considered unprofessional. All caps, in the computer world, is considered yelling. So when you type something in all caps you essentially yelling at whoever is reading your message.

This is highly unprofessional and sometimes considered yelling in internet etiquette. This indicates that you're uncomfortable using proper typing skills such as capitalizing your sentences. Since it is interpreted as yelling by some, messages could come accross as hostile.

Someone told me they were offended today because of my "all caps" typing. this is ridiculous, as i end my emails with friendly words, and a thank you. those offended parties need to get a life and get over themselves. look at the intent, and the message, not the style.
