Porcelain is pretty fragile, and a deck would be taking some hard knocks from outdoor chairs and such. Also I think it stains easily, so being exposed to dirt and rain and such probably will discolor it. I'd recommend against it.

Outside tiles have to certain essential qualities. first, durability. second, beauty. third and very important safety to the user. porcelain does have durability. it also has beauty. however, it is unsafe to the consumer. the reason it is slippery. porcelain should be used for toilets and sinks. so outdoor tiles should be made of other materials.

Porcelain is good for outdoors as long as it is a slip resistant tile. Otherwise it is very slippery when wet and could end up being dangerous in rain, snow or ice. Porcelain is very durable and can handle high traffic, has color throughout (unlike ceramic tile) and is also water resistant and frost proof.

Porcelain has more density than ceramic, and water will not soak into the tile when it rains. Water will soak into ceramic tile and crack the tile when temperatures drop below freezing. This will not happen with porcelain. If you want a tile with more density and one that is weather resistant, then porcelain is definately a good choice.

Yes it is not a good choice because if something drops on it, then the item will crack sooner or later.

Well, it is not a good choice, because if you drop something on the ground, it may break due to the porcelain. Also it is likely to get damaged due to wear.
