Is playing chess fun?

I think chess is very fun. if you don't like learning new stuff, then the early stages might be a little boring. But after you are completely familiar with the rules, you start to see how incredibly deep the game is, full of strategy and tactics.

Playing chess is not universally fun. I don't like it; I feel bad if I win or if I lose. One game that I do find to be very fun and enjoyable is Candyland. Candyland is a game of pure chance, to see who God favors.

Chess can be fun if your evenly matched with your opponent. When you are just starting it is not fun to play with someone who is far superior to you. However, as you gain skill and learn strategies you should new people to play with who will be more of challenge

I wouldn't call chess FUN, necessarily. It's interesting, certainly, but I don't play well enough to really enjoy the process. I think I would like it more if I had opponents available who were more at my level of expertise. I like word games like Scrabble or Boggle much better, or Trivial Pursuit.
