It does have a lot depending on what you get, but normally it fills you up before you go overboard. It's more about the portion control. Also depends on where you get your food as everyone makes things differently. Its also much less calories than something like Italian which goes crazy with cheese and noodles.

Yes most of it is very high in calories due to the cheese and meat content. Also many dishes use special sauces and toppings that are also very high in calories. I would recommend keeping your food intake of this type of food to a minimum if you are trying to watch your figure.

Yes, Mexican food can have a lot of calories. In addition cheese and carbs, many traditional Mexican dishes are prepared with lard, an animal fat product containing cholesterol. These foods can be part of a healthy and enjoyable diet by eating them in moderation and making sure the rest of your diet contains fresh fruit and vegetables.

It can be high in calories, especially if it's loaded with cheese and deep fried. But there are tips to enjoying it without having to bring out your elastic sweatpants. Have salsa before the main course, but don't overdo the chips. Choose corn and whole-wheat tortillas over flour, use lots of veggies and lettuce, and choose reduced fat sour creme!
