Yes, kennel cough is highly contagious but only if your dog is exposed to other dogs who have active cases of it. Dogs are most susceptible when they are in close quarters with other dogs - boarding facilities and vet's offices.

Yes, it's contagious. Whenever a dog is being boarded or around a lot of dogs there is a chance he can catch it. Your dog will need to get a shot for this at the vet's office. If you get it to close to being boarded or around dogs with the cough it won't work in time.
