Is Kenmore a subsidiary of Sears?

I know that you can buy all Kenmore appliances in Sears but do they own eachother?

Kenmore is a house brand sold by Sears. In 2005, Kmart purchased Sears and a new parent company, Sears Holdings Corporation, was formed. As a result, Kenmore products are now also sold at all Kmart stores. Items labeled with the Kenmore moniker are actually produced by other well-known companies such as Panasonic, Whirlpool and Electrolux.
