Is it worth the trip to see the Marblehead Lighthouse?

We're going to Sandusky to Cedar Point, so it's not that far away.

Everyone who has gone to the Marblehead Lighthouse sing its praises, especially if you're looking for a peaceful trip. There is a small fee to go up to the lighthouse.

If you're going to be in the area, you don't want to miss Marblehead Lighthouse! You can tour the lighthouse for a small fee ($2 last time we were there) and there is a very nice museum in the lighthouse keeper's home. It's so neat to be there and imagine what life was like when people depended on lighthouses.

In 1819 the fifteenth U.S. Congress recognized the need for navigational aids along the Great Lakes , and set aside $5,000 for constructuion for a light tower at the entrance of Sandusky Bay. Yes it is worth it.

Marblehead Lighthouse is located on Lake Erie in Ohio. It is the oldest lighthouse that has been in continous use on any of the Great Lakes and is located in Ohio's newest state park, Marblehead Lighthouse State Park. It is a good day experience because you can tour the lighthouse, visit the lighthouse museum and have a picnic.
