Is it worth buying Corel Photo Paint?

For the price, I would say no. Spend you money on a photo editor like Photoshop Elements, but even then, there are so many good photo editing and paint programs available for free download, it's hardly worth buying any software of this type.

Depends what you're looking for. If you have Photoshop or Paintshop Pro then probably not, but if not then it might. Since Corel has a free 30-day trial of most of its software, why not try it out and see what you think before you buy?

Well, that depends on you. Corel Photo Paint is a graphics editor. Corel only makes it for Windows right now. Corel Photo Paint comes with Corel Draw Graphics Suite X4

anything is worth buying if you will be using it. if you are going to be using this software for business or school, then you should buy it. However, if you are using it for personal use, then look into free versions of photo editing software.

I would say no not unless you are doing professional quality work, otherwise I would suggest you look into gimp shop, its not only free but very similar to Adobe Photoshop, a quick google search will turn up a download link. Gimp Shop has a lot of neat features and is open source.

If Corel does what you need an image program to do then sure. The open source GIMP program is great if you want something for free.

I'm a fan of all Corel products. If this is anything like Painter or Xara I would purchase it in an instant.

No, even with 6 gigs of ram and a top of the line processor, I have found it to be slugish and a resource hog compared to it's competitors.

It depends on your needs, but I'd say no. These days there are great alternatives available for free, such as and gimp. You can also download plugins for these programs to give them similar functionality to that found in paid products, such as Corel Photo Paint.
