education

Is it true that a college degree is not worth as much as most colleges charge now?

I am worried about the investment I am putting into my college education and am afraid it may be a waste of money.

Unfortunately, college is the new high school. It used to be that you could get a job that supported a family with just a high school education. Now, if you don't have college, you are stuck in minimum wage jobs. So college is definitely worth the investment.

I had to get 3 college degrees to get one that would actually make me any money. College degrees aren't a golden ticket anymore. You have to have a marketable skill. Do research into areas that will have high demand. Examples such as business management or healthcare.

Some degrees lead to high paying jobs in high demand fields. Others degrees are in obsolete fields. Lower costs at state schools make a degree more "worth the cost". Also, the actual education and process of learning is valuable in and of itself.
