Is it safe to be in the bathtub while it is lightening?

Someone told me it was perfectly safe.

Yes, it is. While water is a good conductor of electricity, you have air and the walls between you and the storm, and while plumbing is usually made of conductive metal, none of it is usually exposed to lightning, preventing it from conducting electric current.

Not really. Although usually pipes are made out of PCP pipes in newer houses and those pipes don't conduct electricity as well.
