Is it safe for dogs to eat ice cream?

My dog loves ice cream, however I am concerned about it not being good for him.

It's not healthy and can be harsh on their stomachs, but as an occasional treat it is all right. Just stay away from chocolate, which is toxic to dogs.

As long as you do not feed your dog chocolate ice cream it should be perfectly safe for him to eat ice cream. In fact you can even buy dog Ice Cream from some pet stores and vets offices.

Chocolate ice cream is not a good idea, but ice cream in general, in limited amounts, should be okay. Too much ice cream for dogs results in obesity.

Yes dogs can have ice cream but chocolate flavor makes them to get worms, so it should be avoided. Too much of ice cream causes them cold. Some dogs may cause diarrhea, if so then ice cream should be avoided. Special care is needed for giving the sugar and milks because it causes weight problems.

Chocolate ice cream does not make them get worms, chocolate, or more specifically theobromine found in chocolate, more in dark, less in white chocolate, is toxic to dogs, and can be fatal. But if your dog is a Great Dane and he ate a m&m: no problem he'sa chihuahua: maybeproblem, monitorlosely.  add a comment
