Of course you will survive. Many thousands have. You may have lost your job and your family may hate you, and you may have a record, but there are options. Network and look for a job that does not involve driving - like retail, construction or a trade. Apologize, hold your head up, don't repeat, and don't look back.

Yes a DUI tends to have an immediate effect of failure and disgrace to the driver. However with the help of a good lawyer it will one day seem like a distant memory.
