Is it possible to lose 30 pounds in 60 days?

it sounds far-fetched to me, but some people claim this is possible.

That's got to be dangerous! I'm sure it's been done before. I mean, you always hear about people going on a seven-day diet and losing 20 pounds. But that is the definition of "yo yo dieting," it's something you really shouldn't try doing. Just stay curious - don't actually try!

Yes. You should excercise and cut your calorie intake. Stick to healthy foods such as fresh fruits and vegies. Limit your portions at meal times. Cut out or cut back on junk food. Remember everyone's body is different. Drink lots of water. You want to drink about a gallon a day.

It may theoretically be possible, but certainly medically inadvisable. This averages two pounds per day, whereas a good, steady and SAFE rate of weight loss is about two pounds per WEEK. Someone who loses 30 pounds in 60 days risks serious damage to their health. I think it would only be achievable by literally starving, and drinking very little too.

What? Two pounds per day? Where\'s the math behind that one? That would mean in 60 days they\'d lose 120 pounds. Nice.  add a comment

It may be possible to lose that amount of weight in two months, but it is not safe to do so. Doctors recommend that you lose 1-2 pounds per week. Not only is this a much healthier way to shed pounds and inches, but you are more likely to keep the weight off if you lose it gradually.

I think it all depends on the overall amount of weight you need to lose. A large person could easily drop that kind of poundage in a short period of time, however, one that only had 30lbs to lose to begin with will eventually platuea before the 60 days are up.
