A freezer works by removing heat from air inside. If the outside air is already warm, it has to work harder and could burn out as a result.

While the freezer won't work as efficiently due to the high ambient temperature, it will still work just fine, though it will use more electricity.

It is okay to put a freezer in a shed even though it gets hot because the actual freezer is encased in the metal of the appliance. The freezer part is insulated and kept cold by electricity. As long as the freezer is plugged in, it should pose no problems.

If you plan on using your freezer, the warmer it is, the more the freezer will need to work, so puting somewhere warm will cause more wear.
