Is it okay to buy jewelry for a married friend or family member?

It perfectly okay.. the safest jewelry to but would be arrings or bracelets. Buying very expensive sets or rings would be trickier ground. I have received jewelry from famly members after marriage, and their have been no issues.. in fact, I would say, it makes me quite happy- isnt that a normal female reaction?

Yes, that should be perfectly fine. Just be careful about it. If you're a male don't get something too fancy or expensive for a female friend if her husband isn't comfortable with your relationship to his wife. Otherwise there shouldn't be any problems. Women usually love jewelry, and they will appreciate the sentiment.

The answer is yes if you are going to buy jewelry for your family members but the answer is clearly no while buying jewelry for a married friend.

I do not see why not, so long as it is not overly extravagant and conforms to the person's tastes.
