Is it normal to not have prostate pain if you have prostate cancer?

My father was diagnosed with prostate cancer and has never had prostate pain.

This is normal, there are very few symptoms in the early stages of prostate cancer. Only in very advance stages could pain be a factor, such as bone pain.

Yes, that is normal. Prostate cancer is normally painless and has no symptoms, which is why it's often hard to catch.

Pain is not always associated with cancer. Sometimes the cancer might have advanced to stage but the person may not be awarw as it does not pain or have any symptons. So consult your doctor and immediately arrange for surgery and treatment. If it is in the first stage he will be cured.
