Is it normal to have a bad taste around a tooth that had a root canal?

I had a root canal and now I have a bad taste in my mouth.

It is normal to have a bad taste around a tooth that had root canal because of the chemicals used and since the tooth is not covered. Also food particles could get stuck in the tooth very easily and stay there causing a bad smell.

Yes, this is perfectly normal, and should go away within a few days. If it hasn't gone away after a week, call your dentist.

No, it is not normal. A bad taste in your mouth is very probably indicative of a bacterial infection, possibly in the root itself. Have it checked immediately, and if the dentist who did the root canal will not help you, get a second opinion.

The answer could be only yes, since the bacterial infection prevailing in that area would cause that bad taste. Moreover improper maintenance of dental care also would lead to the problem in a full flow. The dental hygiene is very important.

I had gone under a root canal treatment which was very painfull and now i have a bad taste bud left in my mouth which has destroyed the taste buds in my mouth.... the root canal treatment was very very painfull...
