Is it more painful when getting hip tattoos?

It probably depends on how bony your hip is. Places with more fat hurt less to get tattooed. Feet and ankles are the most painful places to get tattoos, while calves and arms are generally less painful.

From experience, I would say that the hip area all depends on the amount of fat you have in that area. The skinnier you are, the more it will hurt, coz of the needle pressing against the bone.

Alot depends on your body type. Any area that is really bony will hurt more. If you are really skinny then yes the hip would hurt.

Unfortunatley, the hip is one of the most painful places to get a tattoo. The only places known to be worse are the rib cage and spine. What makes the hip hurt so bad is that it is the needle presses up against the bone while the tattoo is being done.

Tattoos involve pain, that's part of the "cool" factor and hip tattoos are often on sensitive skin. If your present tattoo is on more ticklish or delicate skin than your hip area, the hip will hurt less.
