Is it legal to bury my dog in my backyard in Simi Valley, California?

it's best to call the city to ask. You should bury the dog either in a biodegradable box- I purchased a coffin for dogs from a website that will compost over time. I would make sure the pet is 4 feet deep at least.

No it is not, because doing it could easily contaminate the ground, especially if you live in the county and have a well.

You should check with animal control and local law enforcement agencies. Laws about burying pets vary greatly in different areas, so you need to check with everyone who might know. A big factor of if it's legal or not is if you live in the city limits, because city ordinances tend to be stricter than county ordinances.

It is legal so long as you bury the animal away from any water mains where the decomposition of the body would contaminate the water. Also, the grave needs to be deep enough to protect against any contact with humans or other animals to prevent any spreading of disease.

You need to check with animal control and local law enforcement agencies. A lot of it depends on where you are planning on burying the dog. If it's on your own property it might not be a huge issue, but if you want to bury it on public property you probably aren't allowed to.

Um, I think it is legal but it could cause many repurcussions later on if you decide to sell your house. So therefore, I think it is better to get a proper courtyard.

You have to check with local ordinances and laws to find out the legality. Oftentimes vet offices will know if it's legal.
