Yes. Stamp collectors prize unused stamps, especially old and rare stamps. They also sell and trade their stamps in order to get new ones, or sometimes just to sell them. If it weren't legal, then how could there be so many stamp collectors? I didn't think that stamp collecting was an illegal activity.

According to my knowledge it isn't Legal to sell or auction Unused stamps without having the prior permission to do the same. For maintaining the Legality of the sales the citizen should contact the government authorities and ensure that he completes all the formalities to proceed with the sale or Auction process. Then it is said to be Legal.

It is legal to sell stamps and you do not have to sell them at face value. Stores that sell stamps often add a small charge to the price and collectors charge and pay more than the face value for stamps all the time. For the right stamp thousands of dollars can be charged and it's all perfectly legal!

We must consider if it is legal for the individual to sell or auction the legal tender of that country. Are stamps also considered currency and can they be used in lieu of money. What of the current trade in used and mint stamps and currency??
