Immodium is horrible for your body. It essentially stops your intestines from doing their job. Try to only use it in emergency situations. Otherwise, try to use something more natural.

Yogurt is definately better to eat when you have diarrhea. The ingredients in yogurt trapes the harmful bacteria that often accompany diarrhea, and allows your body to flush them out. Eating yogurt will improve your symptoms dramatically. Taking immodium, may help;however, the if you want to make a fast recovery just stick with the yogurt.

Immodium is better then yogurt for stopping diarrhea. Yogurt can be helpful though since it can help get rid of some of the bad bacteria in your stomach that is causing the diarrhea.

If you are eating a good, no flavor, natural yogurt, such as Greek yogurt, it will help, but not as immediately as Immodium will. Immodium will stop you up, good yogurt will regulate and return you to normal- supermarket yogurt won't, it is basically a diary product- big no-no. Stay dehydrated, try chicken noodle soup, toast, ginger ale and crackers.

The best thing for diarrhea is to let it run its course. Eating yogurt - plain, not the fruit kind - is a natural, gentle way to help your system rid itself of the toxins. But if you need to leave the house, then Immodium can be invaluable.

If diarrhea is caused by a deficiency or imbalance of intestinal flora, yogurt containing live cultures may help. However, diarrhea may be caused by a number of things, and Immodium is more likely to relieve the symptom of diarrhea. On the other hand, Immodium will not address the underlying cause of the diarrhea. If diarrhea persists, see a physician.

Immodium is effective against diarrhea resulting from gastroenteritis or inflammatory bowel disease. But it can cause severe constipation, drowsiness, dry mouth and abdominal discomfort in some patients. Plain yogurt can reduce the severity and duration of diarrhea. Yogurt does not cause any side effect as in case of Immodium. Yogurt replenish the good bacteria in intestine, lost due to diarrhea.

Immodium is very effective against diarrhea resulting from gastroenteritis. But can cause constipation. Yogurt is also good for diarrhea. Yogurt can reduce the severity and the duration of diarrhea. The healthy bacteria found in yogurt replaces the natural bacteria found in the intestine. Yogurt has no side effects.

I do not recommend Immodium for diarrhea because what happens is that it can acutally constipate you. Yogurt is great for diarrhea or anything with acidopholus in it because the acidopholus adds good bacteria into the mix to fight the bad bacteria off that is causing the diarrhea. Stay away from carbonated beverages.
