A good quality dog food is essential for a growing puppy. Nutritional value is important to raising a healthy dog. I have used nothing else for my dogs over the years. Hills Science Diet Canine is not full of fillers. A good beginning, will help ensure a long, happy life for your pet.

A diet such as a Hills Science Diet is a good quality, vet standard diet that will give your puppy the required nutrition it needs to grow into a full size dog. Hills Science is a more then acceptable diet for your puppy to be put on, resulting in improvement in coat, growth, and nutrition.

There is much debate about which foods are the very best and which are actually a good value. Your choice will depend a lot on your own budget. However, one way to save money is to feed your dog dry food. You can pour water on it to soften it.

Science Diet is not a very high quality dog food. Read the labels on the food and eliminate food that the primary ingredient is corn. Look for meat sources, not meat by products. Depending on the breed of your dog, try and stay away from foods that are real high in protein during the main growth period.

Science Diet Canine is a wonderful dog food brand, but it can be more expensive than other brands available to you. Shop around, look at the ingredient lists.

The w/d formula is a prescription diet, so this food should NOT be given to a puppy. A puppy needs plenty of nutrients while it's growing, not a diet food.

Yes, if you start your puppy on it at a very early age, as its first food. Some dogs don't like changes in their diet later in life so it's best to start early. Your puppy will be with you a long time with proper care so your little friend is worth the cost of a quality food.

Science Diet is not a very good food. Read labels and compare. Look for meat sources, no by-products. Kirkland Signature is a far better food for less money.
