It may encourage 'bolting' behavior, which can lead to gastrointestinal problems later. It's generally suggested to allow them free feeding. But breaking it into two smaller meals can help.

As long as you are feeding her the recommended amount per day and she's eating it all, it's fine to only feed once daily. My two dogs HAVE to eat twice a day or they think they are starving, so we break their daily food intake into the two meals.

Every vet and respectable trainer I've ever talked to has suggested feeding dogs at least twice a day, and up to 4-5 times a day for small breed puppies. Puppies should be fed two to three times a day. They are growing and need nutrients to be fed into their bodies.

For a puppy, your supposed to let them eat 3 to 4 times a day.. I know its alot but they say you have to.

yes!. All dogs should be given food only once. This helps them to digest properly. Along with the food you may have to feed water too. Many houses, it is seen when the kids are eating, the fpart of the food is thrown to the pets, it is very very bad.
