Attacking a cat in Kansas can be considered a felony if the attack was shown to have excessive force or death. Any act against an animal is considered animal abuse under 'Kansas Crimes Against The Public Morals Code'. Punishment can be up to 3 years prison and 5,000 in fines.

In Kansas, the animal cruelty laws can be both a non-person felony or a non-person misdemeanor. The following is what is considered cruelty and a felony by stature: intentionally or maliciously attacking, injuring, maiming, torturing, burning or mutilating any animal. If an injury is something other than above list, it is a misdemeanor for the first offense.

By causing serious injury or death to a cat in Kansas is considered a felony. By killing a cat, will result in serious punishments including prison time and change your life drastically. If you see a cat, leave it alone and let it do it's business.

It was a misdemeanor offense until 2006, but it generally amounts to a felony now. Attacking a cat implies an act of intentionally and maliciously injuring or mutilating an animal, and that sort of conduct constitutes a non-person felony under the revised version of section 21-4310 of the Kansas statutes.

It depends on what you consider attacking, but if you violently harm the cat in a way that it is injured, it can be a felony of animal cruelty.

It depends entirely on how you "attack" it. In most areas, severe cruelty to animals is a felony, so if by "attacking" you mean "doing something terrible to," then yes.

Yes, attacking a cat is a felony. You can be imprisoned depending on the degree of the attack. There are a lot of pet laws in place in all states.
