Is it human medication? If so no no no. Any medication for a medical condition should only be given under a vet's supervision. Is you wanted to look into natual remidies, try glucosimine or shark fin, available from your local vitamin store.

Generally arthritis medicine is safe for dogs if prescribed by a vet and if used appropriately. As with any medication, there are possible risks and side effects. If you give too much medication or if you don't get it prescribed by a vet there can be complications. Make sure you get blood work done as well.

Yes, in the proper dosages. If you are ever unsure of what is safe for your dog it's best to just ask your Vet. It's better to be safe than sorry.

If the dog is having trouble with bones or braking them it is wise to take to vet and let them prescribe something good for them.
