Is a Miniature Pinscher a good dog for kids?

With children this young I'd not suggest a puppy of this breed. But if you can find a young adult that likes children then this active breed might be a good choice. Baby pups of this breed are a little too delicate to be handled by such young children.

A Min Pin would be great around your children as long as you teach your childeren how to act around the dog. Also socialize and train the dog.

This would not be my first choice for a household with small children. However, I have met many families with Minature Pinschers that have done well with kids.

Not really. Small dogs are okay with older children but not children this young. If you watched the kids and the dog carefully it could work out but if you don't you shouldn't even bother getting that breed. Small breed dogs have less patience for kids pulling on their ears and tails and will snap at the kids.

My Grandma has one of those. She was very good with kids. She was sweet natured and missed us when we were gone. She loved to play with the kids and even let us take her outside to walk her. She seemed to know that we were younger than her, and she treated us like we were important to her.

from what I've read and heard, No, they are not suited to young children. they are seen as 'no nonsense' dogs and are quick to react to clumsiness, teasing and loud noises, which all young children tend to be and do. they tend to be nervous dogs that can be nervous biters as a result.

I would definitely not recommend this breed for your family. The Miniature Pinscher is quite fragile and it is quite possible that the small boys would accidentally injure the animal. On the other hand if you can keep due diligence and train your boys to be gentle and respectful it might work out.

No. Miniature Pinscher's are not good for small children. They tend to get nippy, as do most small dogs. This is because small dogs just don't have the patience as larger dogs do and can get mad when the children pull on it's ears or tail.
