Is a 2002 Grand Am a good choice for a used car?

I want to get a reliable second vehicle.

Yeah that is a great choice. I bought a 2001 and it was probably the second best car I ever had. The only things I ever had to put into it was tires, spark plugs and gas. It was very good on gas though.

It seems to be a pretty good car. There are only 3 minor recalls, none of which are a danger unless the fuel pressure regulator has been replaced. If it has then take it to a Pontiac dealer and they will replace it for free.

Not particularly. The Oldsmobile Alero was much better that year. Those Grand Am;s and Prix tend to be problematic. We looked at serveral and they all had problems , so we ended up going with a completely different make and model. Reliability to me means Foreign , Chevy or Ford.

Yes Pontiacs are durable and really run good for a long time of course if you keep them up. It depends on the mileage too though.
