Is 40 too old to become a police officer?

No, forty is not too old to become a police officer, provided you can pass the physical fitness exams and the other testing. That is, depending on the city's regulations.

Because of the changes in law that have been made forty is no longer to old to become a police officer. But if you are going to try and become a police officer you will still need to meet all of the qualifications and requirements for the job regardless of your age.

I personally do not feel that 40 is too old to become a police officer. Of course, there may be physical demands that you must comply with in order to qualify to be a police officer. Whether these physical challenges will bar you from becoming a police officer is unclear.
