The date of your last period is the most accurate date your doctor has. He assumes that you got pregnant 2 weeks after your last period (ovulation), 2 weeks after ovulation you did not get your period; meaning you are 4-week pregnant even though the baby is only 2 weeks.

When you miss your first period you are actually four or five weeks pregnant. Pregnancy is dated back to the first day of your last period not the first day of your missed period.

Just because you missed a period does not mean you are pregnant. You should take a home pregnancy test or call your doctor to find out. If you are pregnant, generally the weeks pregnant is calculated from the first day of your last period (LMP). Depending on your cycle length, you'd probably be about four to five weeks.

Counting from the first day of your last period, when you miss your period you are usually about four to six weeks pregnant, but this of course depends on the date of conception.
