If a three-year old reads backwards, does that means he's dyslexic?

Absolutely not. A three year old is a developing reader. At this age it is very important for them to be read to so they learn proper technique.

Reading backwards, if accurate, would be a sign of intelligence in a three year old and would probably be a temporary phenomenon. But if inaccurate backwards reading (meaning a reading disability) persisted to age four to six, the child should be evaluated for possible dyslexia.
