I ultrasound shows the baby to be six weeks and one day, did I conceive six weeks and one day ago, or four weeks and one day ago?

I need to know the exact date of conception.

Talk to your doctor about the approximate date of conception. The date will be an estimate, based on your last period. It isn't possible for you to have conceived four weeks ago and have a fetus that is now at six weeks.

When the doctors determines the age of the fetus they determine the age by calculating the day of your last period as the start date. You may have not actually have conceived your baby on that exact day. Or you could have. They don't really know so the just use the date of your last period.

Baby's age is based on the start of your last period and conception usually happens about two weeks after that, so it is more likely you conceived four weeks ago.
