The white stuff is called "plume. " In a good cigar, the wrapper leaves contain oil. Over time, the oil may form crystals on the wrapper leaf. It's a sign of quality, actually. It is not mold and the cigar is not damaged. Brush off the crystals and enjoy.

If you have been properly humidifying your cigars, it is not mold. It is called "plume" and it occurs when the oils on the cigar wrapper crystalize after some time. This is normal and actually the sign of a good cigar.

White crystals that are easily brushed off are called "plume". Plume comes from the natural oils of the wrapper leaf. Plume is the sign of a well aged cigar.
