I have a hernia from pregnancy and I also desire to have a tummy tuck. How do I go about finding out if any of the cost could be covered by my insurance?

The first step is reviewing your insurance policy. It often lists specific procedures that are covered (or not covered). The next step is to talk to your doctor, and determine if either procedure is medically necessary. If it is necessary, your insurance will usually have to cover it. They are likely to pay for the hernia but not the tuck.
