Treat your dog the same as you would. Take it to the vet and discuss this with them. Also, go to the police and turn the people in who sold you the dog. A puppy mill is horrible to the animals there and it harms the animal population, making it harder for sheltered animals to get homes.

Take it to the vet and have it checked out for any health problems. If he is healthy you are lucky and there is nothing more you have to do. I wish we could shut them all down!

If you choose to you can alert your local Animal Control of the puppy mill. Make sure he gets Vet care regularly because puppy mill dogs can have problems.

Puppy mill dogs often have a lot of health issues, so the dog should be scheduled for a health visit to an animal clinic for its vaccinations and general health. It's not unusual for an animal to have not gotten basic care at a puppy mill, and it may have other problems from neglect and/or inbreeding.
