I checked my reconnect, but my mapped S: drive still disconnects. What's wrong?

Mapped Drive is normally connected to the local desktop to acess the shared drive for easy access. If it's not connecting check the system whether it't on or not for you are mapping the drive. If everything is all right you need to check the internetworking connectivity of the two systems. Check the premission rights too.

Windows may be disconnection the mapped drive as a way to conserve resources. If so simply accessing the drive will reconnect it. Disable any power saving setting on the workstation and internal server. Also ask with your network administrator to check the DNS search order and make sure the internal servers are first in the search order.
