I am worried as my stomach has swollen, and I look about 4-5 months pregnant since eating pasta!

This has never happened to me before but I have a feeling it might be related to my gluten intolerance. I'm very concerned because it's been swollen for about 3 days now. I'm size 10 and it looks strange but isn't sore or uncomfortable. What do you think?

It could be from a gluten intolerance, Celiac disease or a wheat allergy, all of which have similar symptoms. A wheat allergy is a histamine response, and would happen quite quickly. A gluten intolerance and Celiac disease, it happens slowly and over time. Of course you can have daily flare ups with them, but go see a Physician ASAP.

Consult your doctor. I don't think it is anything serious. You might be allergic to something you don't know about or just something small. However, sometimes your doctor can give you a prescription to help symptoms go away. It's always best to be on the safe side in case it is something serious.

My first suggestion would be to possibly cut down your intake of pasta and other carbohydrate rich foods. See if that, alone, will help at all. My next thought would be to contact your doctor. He/she would be able to evalute you, possibly perform blood tests to check your levels, etc.

If you are having gluten intolerance issues, that may be the cause of your swollen stomach. It sounds like you should probably avoid pasta in the near future, and be sure to tell your doctor of your symptoms. Your doctor will be able to tell you for certain whether you are gluten sensitive.

I will never get why people post medical questions on the internet. If my body is doing something unexpected or that I don't understand, I speak to my doctor first - not a group of complete strangers who's intentions, experience, and qualifications are completely unknown to me. Common sense, please!
