Salt water is known to cure sore throats. Simply mix a few teaspoons of salt with warm water and gargle for 2 minutes. Repeat every hour. Be sure to stay hydrated. Drinking tea with lemon and honey will do wonders for your throat also; don't forget to take vitamin C to boost your immune system!

Streptococcus is a Gram-positive bacteria that causes diseases that, prior to antibiotics, killed people. You should not have "recurrent strep throat." You may have strep-like symptoms, but if you test positive for streptococcus, you should be on a sufficient term of antibiotics to rid your body of the bacteria once and for all. This is no "natural" treatment.

Pau d'arco tea is anti-viral, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal and anti-yeast. It can also boost hemoglobin production which makes this tea an excellent choice for menstruating women. Take one cup daily.

Perhaps mega doses of vitamin C; note that strep throat is a bacterial infection and antibiotics are needed to eradicate it. Too many bouts of strep throat--at least six times a year--indicate a larger problem. The tonsils may have to be removed. This was my problem too... a tonsillectomy solved it.

The first thing that has to be done is THROW OUT YOUR OLD TOOTHBRUSH and get a brand new one.
