The best thing to do is get a product that trainers use to stop puppies from eating shoes. There are a couple brands. Try Bitter Apple or No Chew. I recommmend NO Chew. Apply liberally.

There has to be some reason why the squirrels keep chewing on your convertible. Maybe it smells like food, or there is some food stuck somewhere. Though, I guess in the meantime if you have a garage, park your car in there and shut the door. Hopefully the squirrels won't find a way in.

Normally the squirrels used to chewup the wires in the car. it is better to use the rataway fragrance spray to keep them away. Even it is better to built some net over. Also can keep some cat or dog in the shed, which will keep the squirrels away. And avoid keeping the car near the nut trees.

Try following methods. While keeping your car in car porch, wet a big bedsheet and spread it on top of your car. if result is not as expected, take a rat trap and hang a piece of banana inside the trap. The trap door will close with loud noie when a squirrel enter inside. All other squirrels will run away.
